New: Configurable Confidential Inspections, Custom Dashboards Preview & Audit Metrics

This release brings several long-awaited capabilities to WizyVision: configurable Confidential Inspections, audit-metric columns in inspection lists, inline expandable field instructions, and an early preview of the new customizable Homepage with role-based dashboards. Alongside these, you'll find continued Gen 2 stabilization fixes, improvements to inspector workflows, mobile printing enhancements for logistics teams, and a more secure delivery of translation assets.

About the new Homepage — The Custom Dashboards and new Homepage experience is available in this release at the /overview URL, but /home remains your default landing page. The cutover to make the new Homepage your default will be coordinated with each customer separately.

New Features

Customizable Homepage and Dashboards (Preview at /overview)

The features below are available in this release at the /overview URL. Your default landing page remains /home until the new Homepage is enabled for your account.

  • New Homepage — A configurable homepage that adapts to each user's role and assigned dashboards

  • Custom Dashboards — Admins can build, configure, and assign dashboards per role using a new visual layout builder in Admin v2 (drag-and-drop reordering, multi-column widgets, app-folder grouping)

  • Widget Management — Configure widgets for applications, domains, banners, and quick links; admins can reorder and inline-add widgets

  • Default routing — Each role has a default dashboard; users with multiple roles can switch between assigned dashboards

  • Dedicated Application List page — A new page lists all applications a user has access to

  • Dedicated Domains (DAC) List page — A new page surfaces the domains and access controls a user belongs to

  • Custom Account Logo — Admins can upload a custom logo that appears in the new Homepage and navigation

  • App Icon Selector — Admins can choose icons for each application, rendered consistently across web and admin

Configurable Confidential Inspections

  • New Inspectors field — A new editable field on inspections that controls who can access confidential inspections, replacing the previous read-only Contributors model

  • Per-app confidential flag — Admins can enable confidentiality on a per-app basis when creating an inspection app

  • Inspectors on print and reports — Print outputs and reports now display the inspectors assigned to a confidential inspection

  • Notifications — Inspectors are notified when added to or removed from a confidential inspection

  • Mobile parity — All confidential inspection capabilities are available on mobile, including inspector management, status-gated permissions, and access requests

Inspection list audit metrics

  • Audit answers and section scores — Inspection lists can now display audit answers and per-section scores as columns

  • Compliance rate — The overall compliance rate for an inspection now appears as colored text in the list, making outliers easy to spot at a glance

  • Score / Total — Score and total can be combined into a single column for readability

  • Sortable columns — Audit answer and section score columns can be sorted both in the list and in CSV exports

  • Configurable in Admin v2 — Admins can enable audit metric fields in List Columns for any inspection app

Field Instructions

  • Inline expand / collapse — Field instructions now display inline beneath the field with an expand/collapse control, available on both web and mobile

Mobile improvements for logistics teams

  • Immediate print broadcast — Mobile users can have a print broadcast fire immediately after a file upload, removing wait time at the physical printing station

  • Re-print from view-case screen — Mobile users can re-print a case directly from the view-case screen if a print fails

Improvements

  • Confidential inspections — Admin & Owner access — Admins and Owners can now view and delete inspections even when they aren't listed as contributors, removing a friction point in support workflows

  • Inspector list UX — Selected inspectors are pinned to the top of the Add Inspector list on mobile; web shows a refreshed inspector picker

  • Contributor discoverability — The contributors modal is more discoverable on web and now supports deep-linking via URL

  • Dashboard widget editing — Widget Edit/Change actions are clearer; widget reordering supports move up/down within a column; a "Row" container is renamed to be less easily confused with a folder

  • Audit list layout — Audit answer and section icons are now visually distinct in the list-layout configurator; column widths handle longer header text without overflow

  • Inspection list export — Exported inspection lists now follow the same alphabetical column ordering as the on-screen list

Gen 2 — Bug Fixes

These resolve issues affecting functionality already in production. Bugs found and fixed during sprint testing of the new features above are not listed.

  • Account settings can now be saved without the "Unable to update" error

  • Roles already granted access to a Site are now visible when configuring Site access

  • Selecting "All Sites" is now possible when creating or updating a Role

Client v2 (Web)

  • The People and People-list fields now show user names instead of IDs in record history

  • System-tag values can now be removed when updating a record

  • Users are now correctly redirected to their original URL after authentication

Web / Server

  • Creating a site now returns a clearer error for users without privilege (no longer "service unavailable")

  • Actions can now be filtered by their parent Inspection App

Mobile

  • The "Oops! something wrong..." error when clicking metadata is fixed

Gen 1 & Gen 2 — Bug Fixes

These fixes apply to both Gen 1 and Gen 2 applications.

Mobile

  • Search input is now limited to 100 characters to prevent server errors

  • Label-print behavior on Gen 1 has been restored to its prior behavior to match customer expectations

Platform & Security

  • Cloudinary → Google Cloud Storage — Translation/i18n assets are now served from GCS across web, server, and mobile, supporting the ongoing ISO 27001 / SOC 2 alignment work
